Step 1 : Research & Planning
The first step involved extensive research and planning, including understanding Gino’s background, goals, and the key moments of his journey. I worked closely with him to outline the main themes and narrative structure, identifying the key locations, training sessions, and personal moments that would best tell his story. The goal was to create a clear roadmap for the documentary’s flow, ensuring that all elements were aligned with the intended message.
Step 2 : Immersive storytelling
In post-production, I carefully edited the footage to highlight key moments and create a compelling narrative. The editing process involved selecting the most impactful shots, adjusting the pacing, and incorporating music and voiceover to enhance the emotional tone. The final step was refining the story to ensure it resonated with the audience, conveying the dedication, challenges, and passion that define Gino’s pursuit of his Muay Thai dreams.
Step 3 : Refining the story
During filming, I focused on capturing authentic moments of Gino’s training and daily life in Thailand. The approach was to immerse the audience in his world, using a combination of cinematic shots, interviews, and real-time footage of his intense training sessions. Attention was given to the emotional depth of his journey, emphasizing both the physical and mental aspects of becoming a Muay Thai fighter.
